I couldn’t help but pull together all of my most favorite broccoli recipes on Hummusapien to share with you all. Next time you’re at the grocery store, throw a head or three of broccoli into the cart — you won’t regret it. What to make with broccoli
Broccoli is an easy option roasted or sautéed for a simple side dish (my favorite way to enjoy it is roasted with olive oil and salt).
But broccoli can also be the star of the meal! It’s delish in pasta, rice bakes, stir fries, soups, salads, quiches, and more.
Lots of these recipes are toddler or kid-friendly, so the whole family can enjoy these delicious and healthy recipes together.
Health benefits of broccoli
Did you know both fresh and frozen broccoli have similar nutritional benefits? As a general rule of thumb, the lower the temperature, the less time, and the smaller the amount of water… the better! Boiling broccoli in a large volume of water will cause it to lose more of its nutrients than quickly steaming broccoli in a little bit of water (or eating it raw). In the off-season, frozen broccoli is often the better (and more affordable) choice because vegetables are usually frozen immediately after picking which helps to preserve the nutritional content.
chock full of vitamins like vitamin C (immune support!) and vitamin K great source of fiber, which promotes digestive health filled with antioxidants to help reduce free radicals and lower the risk of certain chronic diseases.
