Ingredients note
Instructions
Place the baby carrots on the paper towel to dry out the moisture. Seasoning: Use your favorite spice that you like on sauteed vegetables. I used red chili powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper powder, and salt. I have seen some recipes calling for garlic powder. I do not recommend that unless you are ready for a strong garlic odor as you cook the carrots. Oil: You need very little oil for this recipe. However, extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil seemed like the best options in bringing out the best from carrots. Lemon juice: This is totally optional. Salt and lemon flavor tend to kick up the flavor in air-fried carrots. Next, place the baby carrots inside a mixing bowl and add all the seasonings: Oil, salt, and lemon juice. Give a nice mix. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 4 minutes. Place the seasoned baby carrots into a single layer inside the air fryer basket and cook for 14 minutes at 400F with a shake reminder halfway through. (spray oil if you desired) Enjoy your crispy from the outside and tender in the inside baby carrots. How’s that for an easy side dish! I consider this as a perfect side dish for the main course dish such as the dum aloo curry as it balances the spicy notes from the curry. Other serving options are with a vegan ranch dressing or adding balsamic vinegar as a finishing flavor to roasted carrots.
