Ingredients and Substitutions
Ground beef/beef mince. I used lean ground beef – my favorite is an 80/20 mix of meat to fat. You can make this with ground turkey or chicken too. Breadcrumbs. I used fresh breadcrumbs but dried breadcrumbs can be substituted. Spices: Garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt and black pepper. Other seasoning like smoked paprika and herbs like thyme, parsley or rosemary will also be delicious. BBQ Sauce. I used homemade bbq sauce but you can use any store-bought sauce of your choice. For the burgers: Toasted hamburger buns/brioche buns, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, burger sauce, ketchup, mustard, pickles.
How to cook burgers in an air fryer
Can I make this ahead?
The patties can be formed and kept covered in the fridge for up to 6 hours before cooking. Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes before serving.
