Ingredients and Substitutions

Boneless pork chops. You can ask the butcher to de-bone pork chops for you. You can use bone-in pork chops but it makes for harder eating. For the breading: flour, eggs and bread crumbs. Panko breadcrumbs are a great option but feel free to substitute with corn flake crumbs or Italian breadcrumbs. Seasoning: Garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt and black pepper. Onion powder, ground mustard and herbs like oregano, thyme or sage are also delicious with pork. Extra virgin olive oil. Avocado oil or vegetable oil can also be used.

How to make fried pork chops in the air fryer

When is pork done?

Pork is done when the internal temperature reaches 158°F/70°C on a meat thermometer or instant read thermometer. Prime pork is perfectly safe to eat when it’s still slightly blushing. Remember that the meat will continue cooking as it rests so removing it from the heat slightly before it reaches the cooked temperature is a good idea.

Can I make this ahead?

The crumb coating will go a little soggy when stored in the fridge but leftovers can be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer.
