Following the popularity of my recent juice recipe, I am sharing yet another juice to beat the heat…Cantaloupe Juice. I agree to be sent email.
This is the best time of the year to buy a lot of fruits like melons and berries. You can find the sweetest melons of the year around this time (May-Aug) and for that reason, I think there is no better time you tried this recipe. You get instant refreshment as well as a boost of energy from the sweet melons. Since it takes just 10 minutes to prepare from start to finish, I keep a few spears of cantaloupes ready to prepare a small cup for my kids when they get back from their playtime.
Can cantaloupe be juiced?
Absolutely! But you have to remember that it is completely ok to include a little bit of rind when you juice them. The rind has a great deal of the nutrients and by juicing cantaloupes you’re going to get a wealth of other benefits that you just would not get by eating the fruit whole.
Is a sweetener needed for juice?
If you are juicing a ripe cantaloupe, you do not need any artificial sweetener. But if your cantaloupe turns out too bland, then you could add a little bit of sugar, maple syrup, or agave syrup to suit your taste. To prepare your juice, you can start with a juicer or blender. With a juicer, you can eliminate one more step of straining the juice. Apart from that, there is no difference in taste.
