I made a thing! It’s major. I’m still obsessed with these grilled fruit kabobs so fruity no bake desserts have been on the brain. I don’t know why or how or where or when but I had the most genius lightbulb go off in my brain to marinate juicy grapes in a luscious, full-bodied red wine. My current favorite is Cooper & Thief Red Blend, which has incredible bold bourbon flavors. Any wine you love will be dreamy.
How to make wine soaked grapes
Seriously this recipe is about as easy as it gets! I think these would make an epic charcuterie board addition, might I add.
Key ingredients
Red grapes: You’ll want seedless red grapes washed with the stems removed. Green work too if that’s your jam! Red wine: I love the bold fruitiness of a red wine like a red blend, malbec or cabernet here, but you could also use something like Prosecco for a fun twist! Chocolate chips: Semi sweet or dark chocolate chips for drizzling. You can also skip this step if you don’t love chocolate (gasp!).
Which grapes are best?
You’ll want to use red seedless grapes. If you’re feeling the green grape vibe, I’d recommend pairing those with white wine or Prosecco!
Can you freeze grapes?
Frozen grapes are the best! My original plan was to freeze the wine marinated grapes but they tastes so amazing as is so I decided not to. If you want to freeze, simply place the baking sheet of chocolate drizzled grapes in the freezer for a couple hours.
Storage tips
Store grapes in the refrigerator for up to three days.
