Broccoli is one of our favorite vegetable side dishes and we absolutely love roasted broccoli. The crisp tops and tender stems are just delicious. However, I don’t always want to have to switch on the oven just to roast broccoli, especially if I’m making something like pan-seared chicken or air fryer salmon. Cooking broccoli in the air fryer requires a fraction of the time it would take in the oven and delivers perfect broccoli, every time.
Ingredients and Substitutions
Fresh broccoli. Extra virgin olive oil. Avocado oil or canola oil can also be used. Seasoning: Garlic powder, salt and black pepper. Feel free to experiment with other spices like paprika, onion powder, red pepper flakes, etc. The broccoli is also delicious tossed with garlic and parmesan cheese once it’s cooked. Soy sauce and a sprinkling of sesame seeds puts a delicious Asian spin on this easy dish.
How to air fry broccoli
Can I make this ahead?
Air fryer broccoli can be prepared up to 4 days in advance and kept in the fridge, which makes it a great meal prep dish. Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator and re-heat in the microwave or air fryer before serving.
