Apples. I used Granny Smith apples but Fuji, Pink Lady or Honeycrisp apples will all work. Brown sugar. Butter. Cinnamon. Shortcrust pastry. I used frozen, store-bought pastry but you can use any pie dough you like. Egg. Sugar, for sprinkling (optional).
