Holiday entertaining can feel overwhelming. But I’m here to give a bit of relief because putting together an easy holiday dessert board is going to revolutionize your hosting game. I am of the mind set that dessert can totally be outsourced and this dessert board is that mantra personified. Putting together a huge platter filled with sweet treats for guests to pick at makes light work for the host/hostess. Plus it gives guests the opportunity to satisfy their sweet tooth with whatever they fancy. Who’s the hostess with the mostess now?!

Anything goes and the more variety the better. I like to use a selection of shop-bought pastries, cookies and candy and combine them with homemade desserts like mini pies, brownies and cookies. Fresh fruit is a must for color and to add something fresh and you could also add nuts, a few cheeses or crackers to add a savory element. I used store-bought fruit mince pies, eclairs, cookies, candy and South African koeksisters but you could add your own Christmas cookies, brownies or little tarts too.
