Meatballs. I used my Cheesy Baked Meatballs recipe because it’s the juiciest, most delicious meatballs I’ve tried, but feel free to use any meatball recipe you love. Tomato sauce. I used the sauce for the cheesy baked meatballs too. You can use your favorite sauce recipe or even jarred sauce if preferred. Crusty bread. Use a good quality, crusty bread like baguette for this. Mozzarella. I used low moisture mozzarella. Fresh mozzarella will add too much moisture to these subs.
