They’re exactly right. Ya know, matzah ball soup is the Jewish penicillin. Salmon burgers are the Mediterranean…. Advil? I’m extremely stubborn. Whenever I have a headache, I refuse to take Advil until it gets bad enough that it’s beyond the point of Advil being any help at all.  If my mom told me to eat one of these burgs next time a migraine was coming on, I’d gladly eat the whole batch. And then some. Wild salmon, feta, capers AND hummus? Are you even being serious right now? I mean let’s be real. All it’s missing is avocado. And dark chocolate. …Ew. Rememeber when I posted my jubilation on Insta a couple weeks ago after 14 tubs of Roots hummus and salsa (plus a cooler, stickers, buttons, pens and tank tops) arrived at my door? SERIOUS swag. I felt like I won the hummus lottery. It was kind of the best day of my life. Roots, known as the microbrew of hummus, is a small company based out of Asheville, North Carolina. I can tell you from experience that their nine flavors of hummus are quite superior in the creaminess and taste arena. I’ve tried many a hummus in my day, but the texture of Roots hummus is spot on.  My favorite flavors were the thai coconut curry, extra hot chipotle, black bean and lima bean. Who would have ever thought that lima bean hummus would be the apple of my eye? And yes, all 14 tubs are gone. It wasn’t even hard to finish them all. In fact, I could have easily taken down 14 more. Roots, in all their fabulous hummus glory, is giving away a prize pack to one lucky reader including 6 tubs of hummus, one reusable branded cooler, one shirt, a hat, 5 stickers and a magnet. They say every batch is sacred, and they’re right. Good luck, lovelies! I was provided samples of Roots hummus. I was not compensated in any way for this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
