Summer may be coming to a close, but pizza ain’t goin anywhere. This za is off the charts. Wicked good. Freaking tasty. Fantastically foodgasmic. Have I made myself clear? It’s a vegetarian’s dream. Even my meat-loving boyfriend devoured it. Bite after bite of melty cheesy goodness and summer’s best veggies….pizza pie perfection. I only had one measly piece left for lunch today. Wahhh.
I always look so forward to pizza night. Invite your roomies or your boyfriend/girlfriend and throw a pizza party. Some one can grab the crust and cheese and some one else can grab the yummy toppings. It’s a pretty cheap dinner, and let’s be real…who doesn’t love making homemade pizza?
Whole Foods makes these fabulous pre-made whole wheat pizza crusts that actually don’t taste like cardboard. The package comes with two, so it’s always fun to make two different pies and see which one’s better. With the sweet corn and tangy feta, you can guess which one won this time. It’s crazy how much more amazing everything tastes when you use produce that’s in season.
I used fresh sweet corn and zucchini from the Garden of Hope, but feel free to use frozen corn if you’re in a pinch. The four cloves of garlic really take the flavor up a notch, so don’t skimp. You have absolutely no excuse to NOT make this pizza pie right now. I mean I may or may not make it again tomorrow. Is that weird?
Step aside pepperoni….there’s a new za in town.
