I got all emotional and #real in my 2016 Reflections post so don’t fret, I’m not going to get all serious on you again. Today it’s all about the food! Low and behold, the most popular recipes on this site were not from 2016, per usual. The most loved Hummusapien recipes of all time are 1) Healthy Green Bean Casserole, 2) Banana Zucchini Oatmeal Cups, 3) Paleo Pumpkin Bars, 4) Hearty Lentil, Kale, and Potato Soup, 5) Pumpkin Pie Protein No-Bake Bites, 6) Vegan Cream of Broccoli Soup, 7) Roasted Garlic Cauliflower Mashed “Potatoes,” 8) Crockpot Vegetable Curry with Tofu, 9) Skinny Vegan Lasagna, and 10) No-Bake Banana Nut Protein Bars. It was amusing looking back and seeing how I used “skinny” in recipe titles and mentioned things like calories in recipe descriptions. Over my dead body would I do either one of those two things again. Things I used to do for SEO purposes (you wouldn’t believe how many people search for “skinny lasagna”) now seem so silly. Advertising the calorie content of my recipes is something I will certainly not do moving forward (even though I always get comments requesting nutrition info) since I a) don’t count calories, b) don’t want readers choosing to make my recipes based on calorie content, and c) honestly don’t think calories are important. I think the phrase “new year, new you” applies to me more this year than even before. My beliefs and values as a health professional have drastically changed. My passions in life and the path I want to take my career are evolving as I do. I’m so stoked that a recipe I make all the time came in at number one! Without further adieu, I present to you the most popular recipes published this year: Easy Vegan Lasagna
Flourless Peanut Butter Zucchini Brownies
Easy Vegetable Teriyaki Stir Fry
Lemon Coconut Baked Oatmeal Cups
The Best Vegan Broccoli Salad
Easy Vegan Queso
Healthy Blueberry Oatmeal Snack Bars
Chickpea Broccoli Buddha Bowl
Easy Vegan Black Bean Burgers
Vegan Meatball Subs
